Shabelle Bank invites qualified and experienced applicants for the following banking job positions.
Shabelle Bank is a fully licensed Commercial Bank in Ethiopia to conduct all its operations under the principles of Islamic banking and be fully disengaged from interest-based transactions, offering the full spectrum of Retail Banking, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, and Trade Finance Services.
Position 1: Cheque Clearance Clerk
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Experience: No experience required (entry-level).
Specialized Knowledge: Computer proficiency.
Location: Addis Ababa,
Position 2: Cash Dispatcher/Teller
Qualification: Diploma or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration or related field.
Experience: Entry level (No experience required).
Location: Addis Ababa,
Position 3: Reconciliation Officer
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Specialized Knowledge: Understanding of the Banking sector and principles of accounting practice.
Location: Addis Ababa,
Position 4: Cheque Clearance and Automatic Transfer System (ATS) Officer
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Specialized Knowledge: Understanding of the Banking sector and principles of accounting practice
Location: Addis Ababa,
Position 5: Chief Cashier
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required
Experience: 4 years in finance or accounting with cash management experience.
Treasury workstation and bank software experience a plus
Prior banking operations experience
Location: Jigjiga, Head Office, Somali
Position 6: Senior Cash Operation Officer
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field required
– MBA preferred
Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Bank and familiarity with Treasury Operations
Accounting or financial analysis.
Supervisory experience.
Experience with Treasury Workstations preferred
