Job Requirements

   Education/Training and Experience

B.S.C/M.S.C degree in environmental sciences/engineering, natural resource management or, another related subject.

Required:

• 3 years of relevant experience with the first degree 2 years of relevant experience plus postgraduate degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Natural resource management, Soil and water engineering, or related field of study and a minimum of 6 years’ progressive professional experience with similar responsibilities.

Desired:

 At least 5 years’ previous experience working with USAID funded food security programs with similar environmental compliance officer responsibilities.

Working Conditions and Level of Travel Required.

This position is based in the CARE Field Office in Chiro of West Hararghe. The incumbent is expected to work Gemechis, Chiro and Doba woredas.
